We are attracting an innovative and experienced candidate to fill the following vacancies.

TUTOR II (ANIMAL SCIENCE) 01-post

QUALIFICATIONS:

Holder of Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with G.P.A of 3.5 or above.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Head of Department and undertake the following responsibilities.

A.    Participate with  Delivery of Teaching in a Tutorial Environment For Example;

·         Explaining concepts or ideas to students;

·         Answering queries from students;

·         Preparing handouts or other written materials related to assigned modules;

·         Assisting students in preparing for examinations;

·         Clarifying problematic or difficult subject area with high level of professionalism;

·         Setting Tutorial assignments,such as analysis of papers, statistical problems and likes;

·         Diagnosing students’ needs through active listening techniques and questioning strategies;

·         Recognizing different learning styles and student preferences;

·         Designing differentiated learning goal and objectives basing on the Curriculum document;

·         Preparation of both teaching and assessment plans for smooth instructional process;

·         Staying up to date with the course curriculum.

B.    Participate with delivery of teaching in off campus i.e. On field site if required, for example;

·         Explaining techniques related to field practices and outreaches.

·         Explaining relevant concepts and their application in the field and real life of Animal Health and Production.

C.    Participate With the Assessment and Examination Process, for example;

·         To assist in the setting, invigilation and marking of examinations,

·         To provide feedback to students following examinations and assignments attended;

·         Perform any other duties that may be assigned by a competent authority and other reasonable duties as directed by the Head of College, department or their nominated representative subject.
